Special thanks to R.A.G.E. for the use of their shop.
Nevermind
About a month back, I worked on an editorial inspired by Nevermind’s 20th anniversary with stylist Rosemary Mac Cabe and some other very talented people. In Rosemary’s words:
“”We wanted it to be very 1990s, with two girls giving off a very teenage best-friend vibe, channelling My So-Called Life and photoshoots featuring Cindy and Naomi in Vivienne...

Electric Picnic '11
I was given my first-ever photopass by Cock & Bull TV for Electric Picnic this year. Here are a few snaps from Friday & Saturday, in no particular order. (The reason there are no photos from Sunday is that I had to crawl home on Saturday night with some sort of stomach bug - the last band I shot was Yuck, which is pretty fitting!)

Aliquo A/W 2011
I can finally show you the photos from my shoot with Aliquo last month! Aliquo is Alice Moyon, who handcrafts and sells a number of gorgeous & unique jewellery collections under the name. She has a stall in the Loft in the Powerscourt Centre, Dublin, so do keep an eye out for her if you’re there anytime soon.
We had a great time on the day & it was lovely working with everyone...
Burials
So! Yesterday we (The Ambience Affair) could finally announce our big news: our debut album, Burials, will be released in Ireland on Bluestack Records on the 14th of October.
I’m really pleased with the positive reactions to the artwork so far, which (after much brainstorming & changing of mind) I put together myself from a photograph, photocopy & drawing for the album.
I...
Byron
My good friend Byron Yeates came to stay a night with me in Dublin ahead of an editorial we were due to shoot last Friday morning (more on that in a few days!). We got out & about to take a few snaps the evening before.
He’s a talented hair & wardrobe stylist (not to mention a great DJ) who is destined for big things - keep track of him on his blog, byronyeates.blogspot.com.

New Moo cards :)
My new business cards from Moo.com have arrived! This was my first time ordering their round-edged cards, & designing my own full image for each side of the card. I’m pretty pleased :)
What do you think?

The National Print Museum
I was asked to cover the opening of a new exhibition and launch of the new layout at the National Print Museum last night. As a printmaking graduate, I’m surprised I’d never heard of the place before. The mechanical nerd in me had a field day. I was practically drooling on the old albion presses, typesets and linotype machines.
It’s great to see all this old printing...
Sunday Morning in Herbert Park
A few behind-the-scenes shots from our shoot on Sunday. We got rained on, blown about and verbally abused by a strange man with a beard, but we got the shots we wanted! I would heartily recommend all the girls - they were a pleasure to work with and did a great job.
Here’s to the next shoot..!
See previous blog posts below for the finished shots.

Behind the Scenes with Harlow & Harvey
This was such a fun shoot! It’s always great getting to work with Byron, Sarah & Julianne, even if the weather was completely mad on the day. That’s what you get when you shoot outdoors in Galway. (I don’t know how I didn’t get any shots of Julianne, she must have been hiding from the camera :P)
See posts below for finished shots.

Harlow & Harvey in The Irish Independent Magazine
My photograph of Harlow & Harvey’s cobalt blue dress (which was worn by Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin at the VIP Style Awards this year) was published in The Irish Independent’s weekend supplement yesterday. (The full-length photo was published.) Bairbre Power had some lovely things to say about my friend Sarah O’Neill, the talent behind Harlow & Harvey:

Coco Rocha: "My Uncensored Point Of View"
As someone who is doing her best to foster a career in the fashion business, I feel very strongly about how the fashion industry fetishises the super-tall, super-skinny teenager body type, and knowingly bullies young, impressionable girls (and boys) into losing weight they really shouldn’t be losing. I think it’s pretty obvious to most of us that there is a dark, abusive side to the...

Elaine Mai
Some shots I took for Elaine Mai a short time ago. She’s a talented musician who really knows her way around a loop pedal. She plays synth, glock & sings backing for Go Panda Go too. Her new single can be downloaded for free here:

Lost Panda Tour - Shoreditch & Brixton, London
Congrats to all members of Go Panda Go & Lost Chord on their successful first tour in London (not to mention Mark, Michelle & Josh at Bluestack Records!). The Lost Panda Tour was well worth the trip for all concerned. (See the previous post for photos of Dead Red Sun, who supported the Shoreditch gig.)

Dead Red Sun supporting Go Panda Go and Lost Chord in Shoreditch on Sunday (as part of Bluestack Records’ “Lost Panda Tour”). I think we all enjoyed their set!
You can find them on my Flickr here.

fudagraphy:
If you look closely you can see the photo is credited to “Neon Windbreaker” because they seem to have taken a photo without any help.
Now Magazine is one of those, or perhaps I should say the ONLY one of those publications in Toronto, which chooses to NOT credit photographers showcased in their magazine. I asked an art director why this was and she said “Photographers are pieces of...

The Certain Three Tour - Part One
The tour has been going REALLY well so far. Windings and We Cut Corners are such great bands and a real pleasure to tour with! Here’s a handful of shots from the Galway and Cork City gigs. We play Clonakilty this Friday, and then finish up in Limerick on the Saturday.
